This is a delightful book from a first-time author, Samanth Subramanian. He travels along the coastline of India exploring – as the title of the book says – Fish. Starting from the Hilsa of Bengal to the Karimeen with toddy in Kerala, up the coast to Mumbai, he delves into homes, hotels, shacks, and people’s hearts. He relates it all in a mood that is sweet and light – like fresh toddy 🙂
