Nameri National Park

Nameri National Park is located in the foothills of the Eastern straddled between Assam and Arunachal. The park comprises of semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests with narrow strips of open grassland along the water bodies.

Nameri hosts over 600 species of flora including a variety of exotic orchids, rare species of wild animals and about 300 species of birds, making it is a paradise for birders and nature lovers.

The park is ideal for trekking and one can also enjoy angling and rafting in the Jia Bhoroli River its south-western boundary.

You can easily combine a visit to nameri with a visit to Kaziranga for a complete wildlife experience. The two habitats are completely different, and you will see very different flora and fauna.
