MANIPUR

Manipur, the “Jeweled Land” of North East India boasts of an exotic landscape with undulating hills, emerald green valleys, cascading rapids, and freshwater lakes. One of the most incredible things to see here is the Loktak Lake, which is one of the largest fresh water lakes in the country.  This marshy wetland is the lone habitat of the world’s rarest, brow-antlered deer, the ‘Sangai’. Also one must visit Dzükou Valley which is known to have a mystic charm with wild herbs and flowers covering the entire valley and is ideal for nature lovers and trekkers. The rare Dzükou Lily is endemic to this valley.
